Hey Everyone,
So it has been over a week now since I stopped eating meat. I am shocked at how easy the transition was. I work in the evenings, so I eat most of my dinners alone before my family is home from work. I think this has really helped me in this process, as I don't feel like I'm not allowed to eat something prepared for me, I just eat new things.
It has been pretty easy including different sources of protein in my diet, especially since I am still eating eggs, dairy and fish.
Let me know of any resources!

Go Green
Hey Everyone,
So recently I have been doing a lot of research on becoming Vegetarian. I believe in it for a variety of reasons, including my health and the health of our planet. A few months ago I tried being Vegetarian for one week. It went fairly well until the weekend, when I was eating out and was unprepared. I am once again trying to be vegetarian, but this time without telling everyone. I think having less pressure on me might make things easier.
I have been using a variety of resources to help me, including Skinny Bitch, The Kind Diet, and thekindlife.com. I would love to know if any of you are veggies, or are making the switch. Comment back with any resources you make have.
xo,
Amanda

Pamper: Girls night in
Welcome back everyone :)
So its been a while, and I have to say, I've missed you all so much!
My sister is back for a few weeks, so we spent the day together on Monday. We VOTED, went shopping, went out to dinner, and I did her nails. She bought the new Sally Hansen Salon Effects in "Cut it out".
They were so fun to play with. Pretty easy to apply, and have held up well the past few days. Here's a look...

Relaxing day at the Spa... Sort of...
Hey Beauties,
So today was a slowww day. I am studying for my last exam, and finding it so hard to stay motivated, so of course I procrastinate. I have been using self tanner lately to try and give me that 'sun-kissed' glow, without getting burnt! (P.s I'm still really liking L'Oreal's Sublime glow self tanner in medium!) So I decided to do a face peel to get all the dead skin cells off before I apply my tanner.
This is soooo important! The top layer of cells on your skin are dead. When you apply moisturizer or self tanner, it is absorbed into these cells, and if they're already loose, they'll just fall off right away! You have to take off all the loose ones first, that way the tanner will last longer :)
Anwaysss
I applied my Vitamin C Re-texturising peel from The Body Shop.

It claims to "Instantly reveals a softer, smoother, radiant-looking complextion"
I've used this probably 5 times now, and its not bad. It has a lovely citrus smell, and a very sticky texture. You leave it on for 10-15mins, and then it hardens. You have to actually peel it off, which is gross because you can see all the dead skin coming off!

Peeling it off hurts a little bit, because the hairs on your face kinda get stuck in it. I do like the results though, and I do feel my skin looks fresh and vibrant.
I look ridiculous with is on... but here is a preview...

The major problem with it is the price. I always find the body shop products to be sooo expensive! I believe is was $20 ish... and for that reason I won't be repurchasing it. There are lots of other, cheap masks you can find!
Now go treat yourself to something nice! Indulge a little why don't cha!

Jumbled Junk at its Finest...
Hey Beauties,
Hope you're all having a good day/afternoon/evening/whenever you're reading this...
So this is just gonna be a mish-mash of things I feel like talking about right now :) You don't have to read if you don't want to.
Ok so to start off with, this summer I really want to start to put together a 'real person' wardrobe. Looking at the clothes I own now, they appear very 'collegy'... new word! Haha. No seriously though, I am graduating in a month, and I look like I live in sweats. I try never to wear them to class (and No, I have NEVER warn P.J.'s to class...) but they somehow continue to fill up my drawers...
So in summary, I need to find new clothes, and yes I admit, pay a little more money, to actually develop a style for myself.
I am going to be a teacher... did I tell you that? So I promise right here and now that I will not wear teachery clothes... no vests or broaches for me thank you :)
Mmmm what else...É
Oh look hahaha, my keyboard has decided to be french again... this thing has an attitude problem!
Well I`m uploading a video on youtube, so we`ll just have to do without question marks for now...
What else.
I bought the LÒreal Collagen mascara today... But I haven`t had a chance you use it yet :( I will tonight though, and let you know my thoughts...
You know what bugs me. I hate when mascaras have white primers... why can`t the company make them black! I am never able to cover all of the white, and then I look ridic walking around with one or two white eyelashes. I`m sure its not that hard to change that.
Alright, thats all for now...
Were you able to somewhat follow my chaotic thoughtsÉ Oh right... no question marks!
Luv yah all!!

Nail Colour
Hey Beauties!
So Pusebuzz had a tip last week on her youtube about using mineral powders mixed with clear polish... and I thought I would try! I used both MAC Pigments (from the Holiday 2009 Collection), and a Mineral Blush from Maybelline in Gentle Pink.
For my clear I used Revlon ColourStay Sealing Shine, but I think next time I'll try something better :)
Turned out pretty good though...

Have you tried this before? Thoughts?

Food: Breakfast Wrap!
Good Morning!
Today I thought I would share another one of my little recipes. This is for a breakfast or lunch that you really want to fill you up.
First, in a large flying pan I heat up some olive oil with onions and yellow peppers. I add a bit of meat (deli ham here) to get some extra protein. (Watch out... deli meat has a lottttt of salt, so only add a little bit. If you're vegetarian add chickpeas instead). Next I add spinach. It doesn't need to cooked very long, just a minute or two. In a seperate bowl I scramble one egg with some Almond Breeze Soy Milk. Then I dump it in the frying pan with everything else.

I let that cook for a few minutes (I don't like runny eggs) and then serve it on a whole wheat wrap with a bit of cheese underneath.

Its a great way to get a ton of veggies, and the egg, cheese and meat will really keep you satisfied throughout the day :)
Enjoy!!
xoxo

Healty Living Series tip of the week: Cut up those veggies
Hey Beauties,
Don't these look delish!!

When I get home from the grocery store first thing I do (besides putting everything away) is cut up my veggies. I buy a 2lb bag of carrots, and a stalk of celery, and cut them into pieces i can nibble on throughout the week. I find if I leave them to cut up later, I don't actually do it because I'm too lazy. They are a great crunchy snack to have, tons of vitamins, and keep you occupied while watching tv or youtube!
Try it out this week :)

Don't know where to run?
Hey Everyone!
Thought I'd let you know quickly about this great website I came across. I love running in the summer, but never know where to go since I don't have a gps or anything. mapmyrun.com is a great website where you are able to use googlemaps to actually measure out a distance for your run. I think its so amazing because you can map it right from your front door, and not the local gym or anything :)
So thats www.mapmyrun.com
Get out and enjoy this beautiful warm weather!!
