Beauty- Hair Products

Hey Beauties!

Thought I'd update you on my hair routine. So many of us have flat, lifeless hair, that we have to deal with every morning! Here are some products I've been trying out, and seem to put a little bounce back in my strands.

Shampoo:

I've been using BIG Shampoo by LUSH for about 6 months now, and I love it :) It's kind of a weird texture, being salty and all, but it really cleans deep into your hair and gets all of that gunk out! The only thing is it's kinda expensive, and can strip your hair a little too much, so I save it for every other shower :)

This is what LUSH has to say on their website:
Sea salt gives limp locks a major lift, so we put as much as possible into this best-selling shampoo (about half the content is sea salt). This is the shampoo for thin hair in need of volume. We add toothed wrack seaweed infusion for nourishment and softness and fresh lime juice and lemon infusion to add loads of lustre. And if you hadn't already guessed, all that salt, lemon and lime end up making Big smell much like a delicious citrus margarita for your hair.

And I'd agree!

I give this product an A!

Conditioner:

To moisturize my hair without weighting it down too much I've been using American Cream by LUSH for about 6 months. It does a great job of moisturizing without being too gunky and thick.

This is what LUSH has to say on their website:

Mark Constantine created this conditioner based on inspiration from 1950's American milk bars where girls in poodle skirts and knee socks went to meet their boyfriends and drink frothy milkshakes. We begin with honey water for softening locks, then add delicious fresh strawberries full of vitamins to nourish, and make your hair very shiny. American Cream is a deliciously fruity conditioner to make your hair shiny and soft, and give off the delightful fragrance of vanilla, strawberries and oranges

I agree, it makes your hair shiny and soft! I give it an A as well!

Leave in Conditioner:

This has been a personal fav of mine. I've used it for years, and I'm actually surprised I've never really talked about it.

It's infusium 23's volumologie leave-in treatment. I spray about 5 squirts all over my hair as soon as I get out of the shower and dry off, and then brush it out with a wide tooth comb. Its am amazing product, and definately doesn't weight your hair down.

I give this product an A!

I'm still on the look out for a good mouse or spray and hold, so if you have any, let me know!

Thats all for now,

Keep Smiling :)

  1. Kailin is always saying funny things. She is almost, has a huge vocabulary and the wonderful perspective of a childs point of view. I anticipate that the things that come out of her mouth are only going to get more amusing as she gets older, so keep reading for more. Her latest quips include always asking me where something went. Constantly. If there is one thing that Kailin is good at it is repetition and persistence. She is always asking "where did ___ go?" All you have to do is fill in the blank for anything we have done or seen recently.

  2. The side swept fringe is the most common in hairstyles but the Boss recommended that my fringe be cut straight across with the sides tapered in [as i had previously had it]. Reason being that if he would remove the hair that would frame my face, it would visually broaden it - something i obviously didn't want. According to him, the contrast between my overall length and my fringe is rare here and such a style would definitely suit me.
